How this tool works (step-by-step)
ToolsDeck converts your .docx file entirely in your browser using three libraries.
No server processing is involved.
1
Read the DOCX locally
When you pick a file, the browser reads it using FileReader / arrayBuffer().
Your file stays on your device.
2
DOCX → HTML (Mammoth)
The Word document is converted into clean HTML using
mammoth. This preserves text, headings, paragraphs,
and basic formatting like bold/italic/underline and lists.
3
HTML → PDF pages (jsPDF)
We pass the generated HTML into jsPDF which creates an A4 PDF
and auto-pages content into multiple pages if needed.
4
Rendering (html2canvas)
html2canvas helps jsPDF render the HTML layout correctly inside PDF.
This improves compatibility for basic styling.
5
Download immediately
The PDF is generated as a local blob and you download it instantly—no watermark.

Tip:
If your document must look exactly the same, use Microsoft Word / Google Docs
“Download as PDF” because they use a full Word layout engine.
